Lock n Pop is owned by Key Tech Corporation, founded in 1965 as a supplier of specialty chemicals to the paper and pulp industry. As Key Tech began expanding its product lines in the paper converting industry (turning paper into boxed or multi-walled bags), it developed a "surface frictionalizing (fractionizing) technology" as a forerunner of the Lock n Pop pallet unitizing system.
Today, Lock n Pop is the world market leader in environmental unitizing, having unitized more than 200 million pallets.

Everett, Wash., Lock n Pop concentrates all of its efforts into the marketing of the Lock n Pop systems worldwide. Lock n Pop is distributed in Canada, Europe, Great Britain, South America, Mexico, Central America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China and the Middle East.
